Rivers state Government stops Dredging Activities At Elelenwo

The Rivers State government has ordered stoppage of all dredging activities at the fudge of the Elelenwo Bridge in Obio Akpor L.G.A in Rivers State.

The Commissioner of Environment Professor Roseline Konya also ordered the order following the failure of the companies involved in the dredging to meet the required standard.

The Commissioner in a statement said the requirement of the ministry of environment for dredging activities include; submission of environment impact assessment report, sand search report and pre-imposed hydro-graphical survey chart.
