Port Harcourt, Rivers State – April 10, 2025 – In a move signaling the ongoing efforts to establish administrative structures, the Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ebok-Ete Ekwe Ibas CFR, has approved the appointment of members to both the Civil Service Commission and the Local Government Service Commission. The appointments, effective from Monday, April 7th, 2025, were announced in a Government Special Announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Lucky Worika.
The newly constituted Civil Service Commission will be led by Dr Livinus Bariki as Chairman. Other members of the commission include:

The Local Government Service Commission will have Mr Isreal N Amadi as its Chairman. The appointed members are:

- Barrister Richard Ewoh
- Rear Adm. Emmanuel Ofik (Rtd)
- Dr Sammy Apiafi
