The long awaited Election to usher in a new Executive Committee to main the affairs of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Rivers State Council has held today after months of peace talks. In an overwhelming show of Solidarity, the immediate past Chairman of the NUJ, Rivers State council , Stanley Job Stanley, was reelected to continue his leadership of the state Council.
Polling 150 votes, he defeated his close opponent , Paul Bazia who garnered 140 votes. The winning streak swept across board as Job’s Consolidation Team clinched all the positions contested for in today’s election.
