The immediate past Chief of Staff Government House, Chukwuemeka Woke, and four other nominees have been screened and confirmed as Commissioners-designate by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Those confirmed alongside Woke are the former Commissioner for Social Welfare under the Wike-led administration, Mrs. Inime Aguma; former Director of Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Henry Ogiri; Nwafor Uchechukwu, and Kenneth Chisom Gbali.

However, Ogiri, who was a member of the State House of Assembly, was told by the lawmakers to take a bow and go.

Their confirmation follows Fubara’s submission of their names on Thursday, to the State House of Assembly, for screening and confirmation.

Recall that the ninth Rivers State House of Assembly, had on May 30, 2023, screened and confirmed four commissioners, who previously served in the immediate-past administration.
