The Federal Government has urged Nigerians to disregard news about the reintroduction of a nationwide lockdown or curfew. Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the position of the Presidential taskforce on COVID-19, was reported out of context.
Recall that the news about the reintroduction of a nationwide 12am to 4am curfew as part of efforts to curtail further spread of COVID-19 broke yesterday. This prompted #lockdown trending on Twitter yesterday.
