Rainstorm kills, injures Children in Katsina

Tragedy struck on Wednesday evening at Bayan NITEL quarters in Malumfashi, Katsina State, when a building collapsed and injured three children, while 14 year old, Zainab Awwal-baldano who was not so lucky died on the spot.
Africa update learnt that the rainstorm on that fateful day, had forced the children who were returning home from evening Islamic school to take shelter at an uncompleted building which fell on them.
It was further disclosed that Zainab died instantly, while the other three sustained various degrees of injuries including fracture and are receiving treatment at the Malumfashi General Hospital.
Many buildings were also damaged in Funtua, Bakori and Danja local government areas by the rainstorm.
