Police Condemn Incident, Order Discreet Probe

Responding to the tragedy, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, condoled with Maduagwu’s family, friends, and colleagues.

In a statement issued by the FCT Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, on Tuesday, September 30, the Commissioner assured the public that the Command is “fully committed to ensuring that justice is served.”

To that end, CP Adewale immediately ordered a discreet and comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death. The Command has already deployed intelligence and operational assets specifically to identify, track, and apprehend those responsible for the heinous crime.

The CP further called on members of the public to assist in the ongoing efforts, urging all FCT residents to “always ensure they raise prompt alarm in every suspicious situation” to deny criminals the opportunity to carry out their plans. Citizens were encouraged to provide timely and useful information to the Police via emergency lines.

The FCT Police Command concluded its statement by pledging that every effort will be made to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.
