The pioneer coordinator of Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) and stakeholder of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Â Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, in Rivers State, Hon. Bestman Opusunju has cried out for financial assistance to enable him pay for medical treatment.
Africa Update gathered that Opusunju has been hospitalized at the Braitwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital, (BMSH) in Port Harcourt, since last year, suffering from severe diabetes which has recently led the decay of his right foot, that requires amputation.
Opusunju has been discharged from the emergency /accident unit , to a regular ward but is unable to move due to unpaid medical bills and settlement of new bills.
Our source alleged that PDP has abandoned Opusunju and this has made it  difficult for him  to commence the urgent amputation of his foot and appealed  to the state governor, Chief Nyesom Wike and the State PDP Chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah to intervene .
