A Renowned medical practitioner, Dr. Paul Wakama, has become the highest ranking Rivers State officer in the Nigerian Correctional Service. This comes on the heels of his decoration, yesterday as Assistant Controller General of Corrections, at the Dambazzau conference centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service, National Headquarters in Abuja.
Wakama, whose promotion was released 3 weeks ago, was formally decorated by a representative of the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and a retired Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Madam Belema Wakama.
Africa Update was reliably informed that Wakama was the only Rivers indigene promoted to the Rank of ACG in the recent exercise out of 23 ACGs. Prior to his promotion, Wakama was the Controller of Corrections(medical).
