December 22nd marked a significant milestone for Pastor Tonte Joseph Davies, Acting Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority, as he celebrated his 60th birthday with a special Thanksgiving service.
Accompanied by his family and associates, Pastor Davies attended a Thanksgiving service held at Winners Chapel, located at 4 Kaduna Street, D-Line, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital. The celebration continued at La Sien Pavilion, 22 Forces Avenue, in the Old GRA area of Port Harcourt, where gospel artists, including Rema, entertained guests with uplifting performances.
Pastor Davies’ wife eloquently shared her husband’s deep devotion to God and his unwavering commitment to their family throughout their over two-decade-long marriage.
Reflecting on his journey, Pastor Davies acknowledged the consistent guidance of God’s grace throughout his career, including his time as a civil servant. He attributed his appointment as the Acting Sole Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority to God’s divine intervention and expressed his sincere appreciation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara for entrusting him with this responsibility.
The event was graced by a distinguished gathering, including the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof. Ngozi Odu, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Tammy Danagogo and his wife, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Edison Ehie, Commissioners, past and present Local Government Council Chairmen, pastors from Winners Chapel, prominent business leaders, and many other esteemed guests.
