This is not the best of times for Goodluck Wosu, the Senior Pastor of Major Trinity Prophetic Assembly, as politicians and some security agents want him to stop preaching against corruption.

Pastor Wosu said his ordeal started in June 2016 at Eneka community in Rivers State, while preaching againstĀ  kidnapping, assassination and unlawful killings, allegedly masterminded by some politicians. According to him, after that church session , he was arrested and manhandled by some men who claimed to be police personnel, who warned him to desist from describing politicians as blood thirsty.

Pastor Wosu further disclosed that from that day, the police kept surveillance on him, his family and congregation, making it difficult for him to continue his charity works of donating Tricycles to unemployed youths, and aiding widows with microcredit facilities to support their small scale trading. Yet to come to terms with the tirades of harassment, he revealed that his half brother, who he alleged belongs to a cult group and works for a politician in the area, was reportedly volunteering information of his whereabout to the politician.

This he said, has exposed him to danger. “For fear of my life and my family, I decided to operate under cover. I no longer have peace, as I have survived kidnap attempts on me. My family has been dislocated, as my wife Mrs Victoria Obonganwan Wosu has threatened to divorce me if the troubles continue”.
