…There are no factions in RIVPA
The Chairman of Rivers State Independent Publishers’ Association, RIVPA, Gloria Harry, has expressed dismay at the malicious publication made by Mr. Owuje Harry, which she described as false and laced with slander.
RIVPA, Chairman stated that it is very appalling for men who have thrown decency and the ethic of the profession to the wind to engage in the publishing business.
She noted that it was laughable for Owuje and his cohorts to have insinuated that notable personalities who were given awards based on their contributions to society, had bought such awards and are dragged into the scene of falsehood, thereby ridiculing the essence and the importance of such awards.
She reiterated that as rightly stated by the said publication, some miscreants who were former members of RIVPA, were dragged to court for impersonation and that matter is still on, so commenting further on it would not be necessary, but has briefed her lawyers about the said publication and legal action will commence if a retraction is not made by Owuje within two weeks.
She however, assured members of the public that RIVPA would ensure that miscreants found in the publishing business are shown the way out to enable truth prevail.
