Counsel to the former Asari Toru Local Government Chairman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress,( APC), Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, who is facing two count charge of conspiracy and murder, says his client’s life is in danger.
Speaking to journalists port Harcourt, the lawyer, Ken Atsuwete said there was nothing wrong with the decision of the court of Appeal President, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa to constitute a special panel to hear the bail application of his client and expressed concern at the activities of the civil liberties organization, (CLO), which he accused of allegedly acting contrary to the rules establishing it.
Atsuwete stated, “Instead of them to go and bring their counter affidavit against our Appeal, they went to employ the services of CLO to demonize the person of the Honourable Justice of the Court of Appeal.
“Infact, they said she should be suspended. They already wrote a petition to the NJC. Is that right? Why is the Rivers state Government keen to kill Ojukaye? This is an attempt to kill Ojukaye.”
