A tale of a young man who has suddenly become a shadow of himself was shared in a video sent to Africa Update. In the heart wrenching video, Jessica Adaobi Albert, the elder sister of the young man identified as Ndudi Odili, narrated the medical conditions of her brother that has left him bedridden.
In the video, Jessica Albert called on individuals and organisations to come to her aid to enable her continue with her brother’s treatment at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
During an exclusive chat with Africa Update, she said: My immediate younger brother, Ndudi Odili, Born 15th May 1987, from Ndoni in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA Rivers state, was diagnosed of Diabetes.
“He was fine until his right leg started gathering fluid
They opened up to drain fluid, that’s where sepsis came in. The same knee got dislocated. He started losing weight, Constantly and frequently stooling. He started having shortage of blood. We transfused 7pints of blood and we’ve been in UPTH since April after being referred from Omoku where he stayed in the hospital for 3months. So we have done all tests and screening.
“We are presently in University of Port Harcourt teaching hospital, Male medical ward 2, 3rd floor
Bed C3. He’s a fighter and as his only sister I’m doing anything humanly possible to see he is alive. He’s too young to die. And it’s not up to 5years I lost my only sister who went for youth service in Lagos, had a train accident and died.
“So this very boy, God will not allow us bury prematurely. I decided to come online and beg people to help me o???.
