Ngige disobeys Buhari’s directive

There seem to be a brewing storm if what is trending about the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, is anything to go by.

Media reports have revealed that Ngige, failed to obey a directive issued by President Muhammadu Buhari, despite its implications.

Africa Update gathered that Ngige, had gone against a circular issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, weeks ago, directing all ministers to inaugurate boards of parastatals and agencies of government, on or before Friday last week.

Ngige had opted to inaugurate only boards of the National productivity centre, Micheal Imoudu national institute of Labour studies and the National Directorate of Employment(NDE) in Abuja on Thursday.

Citing reasons for his action, Ngige said that the board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF)  will not be inaugurated until a nine-man panel of enquiry he instituted on February 15, 2018, delivers its report.
