Africa Update has just received a report about a courtesy visit by the Former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, at Government House in Port Harcourt today, March 27.
Though details of the said visit remains sketchy at the time of this report, there are speculations that it might be connected to who would pick the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Dignitaries who received the former vice president include Rivers State PDP Chairman Bro Felix Obuah, Former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Celestine Omehia, Senator George Thompson Sekibo,Senator Olaka Nworgu, Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Austin Opara, , Senator Lee Maeba, Former Attorney General of Rivers State Sir Frank Owhor and Chief Emmanuel Anyawu.
