On Wednesday 6th April 2022, the State Commander, NDLEA Rivers State Command, CN Ahmed Mamuda, received the Commandant, Nigerian Navy Intelligence School, Ubima, Rivers State, Commodore RT Oladejo, on a courtesy visit at the NDLEA Rivers State Command headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Commandant who has recently assumed duty at the Navy Intelligence school stated that the purpose of his visit was to familiarize himself with the Command and to cement the already existing cordial relationship between both organisations. He further expressed gladness for the warm reception and extended an open door to the Agency for exchange of relevant training needs.
In his response, the state Commander heartily welcomed the Commandant and stated that the relationship between both organisations cannot be over emphasized considering the nature of NDLEA operations vis-a-vis intelligence sharing. He wholeheartedly accepted the open door, stating that the command will not hesitate to bring the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitisation vision of the vibrant Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of the Agency Brig. Gen. MB Marwa (Retd) OFR, to the School.
The State Commander went on to decorate the Commandant as a WADA Ambassador and also presented a copy of “NDLEAtoday” magazine to the esteemed guest. In return, the Commandant presented the State Commander with a plaque to serve as an appreciation and a reminder of his visit.
Similarly, onTuesday 5th April, Assistant State Commander Drug Demand Reduction Unit of NDLEA Rivers State Command, Stella-maris Amede, CSN, presented a lecture on “Drug Abuse, trafficking, consequences, and Preventon” to the Regional Manager and other management and Staff of UPS Couriers warehouses at GRA axis of the state, as part of the on-going War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) Enlightenment programme.
