The son of a popular native doctor Nwabueze Onukpa has accused his father’s clients of being responsible for the gruesome murder of his father Chief Onukpa Nwite.
According to Onukpa, his father Chief Onukpa Nwite was murdered over the weekend in front of his shrine, allegedly by his client parity, Abacha and their gang. The suspected cultists had reportedly invaded his shrine in Ndulo Ukwuagba Ngbo, Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi state, by 8pm on Friday.
Following the murder of his father, Onukpa reported the matter to his kindred in Ukwuagba who mobilized youths and went on rampage, burning houses of some persons suspected to be involved in the killing of the native doctor. He also reported the matter to Ohaukwu Police Division and the Development Centre Coordinator.
The native doctor before his death had specialized in preparing charms for cultists in the area which they used for protection against clash with rival cult group.
