The National Executive of the Nigerian Medical Association has commended the Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the support his administration has given to medical doctors in the State.
A commendation letter jointly signed by the President, Dr. Uche R. Ojinmah and General Secretary, Dr. Jide Onyekwelu, noted that the decision to send a letter of Commendation to Fubara was taken at the recent Annual General Conference/ Annual delegates meeting in Calabar, the Cross River State Capital.
Africa Update reports that NMA leadership expressed appreciation to the Governor for his friendly disposition towards medical doctors and dental practitioners in the State.
The letter disclosed that Fubara’s efforts at improving the welfare of these medical practitioners convinced the National Executive Council to unanimously honour him with the letter of Commendation.
They assured him of their willingness to partner with his administration towards repositioning the health sector in the State to make it a reference point in the Country.
