The monthly environmental sanitation scheduled to hold on Saturday, 27th of October has been cancelled.
A statement by the commissioner for Environment, Professor Roseline Konya said the cancellation of the exercise is to allow free movement of contingents, visitors and the people of the state to participate fully in the ongoing National Festival tagged ‘NAFEST Rivers2018’ taking place in Port Harcourt.
The commissioner however, called on residents and business operators, especially traders trading around the Festival to keep their surrounding clean before and after the event.
