The Rivers state Government has dropped murder Charges against Hon Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Rivers state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The presiding Judge of the State High Court, Justice J N Akpughunum, has struck out the murder charges on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, following presentation of a Nolly Prosee filed by the State Attorney General, Zacheas Adangor; through prosecuting counsel, Godwin Obla, SAN.
Obla said the state no longer has interest in the matter and filed to discontinue the case.
Responding, Emenike Ebete, lawyer to Flag Amachree said, “With this development, my client has no case to answer.” You will recall that Wike had recently resolved to mend fences with all political foes, which led to the acceptance of the peace pact by the APC last week.
