The presiding Archbishop of Apostolic Christian Faith Mission Inc. Etche Head quarters in Rivers State, Most Reverend Emmanuel Ogu, has cautioned politicians in the area to exhibit the virtues of true Christians in their actions while carrying out their political activities ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Archbishop Emma Ogu who is the State Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, decried a situation where political rivals allegedly molested the member of the House of Representatives, representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency, Hon Ephraim Nwuzi, during his visit to Omuma in Etche ethnic nationality.
The clergyman said politics should be devoid of bitterness and acrimony in a peaceful area where Christians from different denominations reside. He condemned the act which if not curbed, will instigate unpleasant crises in Etche land and called on all Spiritual fathers in the area and Ogbakor Etche to preach against it.
The revered man of God said Omuma, though a local Government Area, is a clan among six clans of Etche ethnic nationality having one Ogbakor Etche in common should not distort the existing peace in the land. He urged Nwuzi to forgive those involved in the dastardly act which in most cases happens when an individual serves the public.
