Ministry of Special Duties commences monitoring of Federal Projects

The Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs has commenced physical monitoring and evaluation of projects approved by the Federal Executive Council in 2017 and 2018. Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume in a statement made available to the media says the objective of the exercise is to ensure that all Federal Executive Council decisions are implemented strictly in accordance with the intentions of Council and obtaining value for money for the benefit of Nigerians.

The physical monitoring exercise commenced with the first monitoring team covering the North East, South South and South East geo-political zones between 14th -18th September, 2020, while the second team will cover North Central, North East and South West geo- political zones from 21st September- 25th September, 2020. The project monitoring exercise being coordinated by the Department of Policy Implementation and Monitoring of Government Decisions in the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs will also cut across eight Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
