Plateau United Football Club of Jos is in the news again, this time for a sorrowful reason. The club lost one of its best players,a mid-fielder, Soboye Shehu, in an auto crash on Sunday, along Kaduna Jos road.
Media Officer of the club, Mr. Albert Dakup, who confirmed the incident, said that Shehu died less than three kilometers to his final destination. Stating further that he was preparing for his wedding which was to have been held this Saturday. And described his death as a big loss to the football family.
Shehu joined the tin city club after a stint with El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Niger Tornadoes of Minna.
