Man beheads four year old girl in public

A Taiwanese, Wang Ching-yu, 33, arraigned at the Shihlin District Court in Taipei, was convicted on Monday for beheading a child near a metro station in the city.
The prosecutors, who were able to close their case in less than two months, are pushing for the death penalty. They told the Court that the public decapitation of the four year old girl, deeply shocked the peaceful island.
The accused according to reports, had overpowered the mother and other bystanders near the metro station, in central Taipei and beheaded the little girl, identified as Liu with a kitchen knife.
Wang was arrested at the scene of the crime and was subsequently taken into custody. Police revealed that Ching-yu had previously been arrested for drug-related crimes. And according to our source, the accused was attacked by an angry mob while in custody.
Hundreds of Taiwanese, many dressed in black and wearing stickers reading “Death penalty is necessary,” called for Wang to be executed after the March 28 decapitation.
