Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Iyaye Lamikanra, has constituted a nine man Rivers State Local Government Elections Tribunal.
Inaugurating the Tribunal, Lamikanra, encouraged the committee to perform their duties within the provisions of the law.
‘I want you to note the sensitive nature and the confidential nature of this work you are about to undertake.
‘Magistrates and the legal practitioners among you, I am sure you are already used to the work but the civil servants will have to learn that this work you are about to take is very sensitive.
‘I urge you to be courageous and to abide by the oath of office that you have just taken. You must do your work without fear or favour’, she charged.
The Tribunal has Chief Magistrate Mark Onyema, Chukwu Amadi, Obi Amadi and David O. Amadi as Chairmen.
