Lawmaker recieves beating for overtaking convoy of Prison Boss

A female member of the House of Representative, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State Hon. Onyemeachi Mprakpor, was on Wednesday beaten up by security officials attached to the Comptroller-General of Prisons, Peter Ezenwa Ekpendu, within the premises of the National Assembly.
Mkrakpor, was said to have overtaken the 15-car convoy of the prison boss on her way out of the National Assembly Complex before she was descended upon by the officials.
“They blocked her car, and started bashing her car. When she wound down the windows, an aide slapped her in the face. The CG sat in the comfort of his car while this happened,” Minority Leader of the House, Leo Ogor, announced during the plenary session of the House on Thursday.
Majority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila also noted that Mkrakpor had called him immediately after the sad incident occurred.
The legislators, after deliberating on the course of action to take, decided to summon the parties involved.
