Lahteh Loolo, the chairman khana local government area while addressing members of the National Youth Council Of Ogoni People, NYCOP, said he is ready to partner with youth groups to improve security in the area.
Loolo, who hosted the group at the council secretariat urged that useful information which will lead to the arrest of those responsible for insecurity in the region should be provided. He further said, if the full potentials of NYCOP is properly harnessed, that peace will be restored to the area and help revive the dead economy of Ogoni.
Also speaking during the visit, the president of the group Dr. Young Nkpah, called on the government to empower and provide employment opportunities for the youths in other to help curb the high rate of crime and insecurity which has been traced to poverty and unemployment in the country.
