… Appoints Pro Tem Officers
A pan kalabari publishers group has emerged in the state known as Kalabari Publishers Association on Thursday September 9th 2021 with the following objectives:
To give full coverage and reportage of activities and events taking place in Kalabari nation.
To inform the government at all levels of the developmental needs of the Kalabari nation through the media.
To educate the Kalabari nation on the essence and maintenance of government policies, programmes and projects.
To set the agenda in collaboration with the Community Development Committees, Chiefs, Youths and other pan-Kalabari associations on identifying the developmental felt needs of the Kalabari nation in terms of infrastructural and human capital development and pursue same for implementation.
To protect the identity of the Kalabari nation and celebrate the rich cultural/socio-political heritage of the kalabari people.
To recognize and give prize to deserving Kalabari patriots who have contributed to the development of Kalabari nation.
To support any idea that will promote the peace and unity, progress and development of the kalabari nation.
To promote and boost the business of publishing of members.
To take care of members welfare.
The following officers were appointed to pilot the affairs of the association, Rev. Success Ekine Chairman (Publisher, Rivers Messenger), Mr. Owuje Park Harry Secretary (Publisher, Garden City News) Ms. Gloria Boma Harry (Publisher, Africa Update).
