Kalabari Democratic Front solicits Ghanaian President’s assistance over High Chief Lulu-Briggs’ quagmire

Ghanaian authorities say they will look into the quagmire surrounding the death of High Chief O.B. Luku-Briggs.

The Ghanaian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Rasheed Bawa, made the promise, when members of the Kalabari Democratic Front, visited him at the Ghanaian high commission in Abuja.

He assured that he would forward the team’s request to the Ghanaian President, so that the remains of High Chief Lulu Briggs will be released for burial according to the customs and traditions of the kalabari people.

The leader of the delegation and member of Board of Trustees of the Kalabari Democratic Front, Charles Inko-Tariah, in his speech, called on the President and the Judiciary in Ghana to look beyond sentiments in addressing the matter surrounding High Chief Lulu Briggs.

On his part, the President of Kalabari Democratic Front, Stanley Ipalibo Lawson, appealed to the Ghanaian High commission to do everything within its power, to end the crisis within the Lulu-Briggs family, to bring about the burial of High Chief Lulu-Briggs.

He said there is urgent need to end the tension following the crisis and ensure that a befitting burial is arranged to make way for the interment of the remains of the philanthropist and business mogul.
