Justice Eberechi Wike rains cash, gifts on Christmas babies (Picture)

The Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike has advised parents to train and bring up their children based on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

She said bringing up children in this way would enable them become good citizens of the society.

Justice Nyesom-Wike stated this when she visited the first Christmas  baby, Gift Ogunfunwa (a male) and others that were delivered at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Represented by the Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs. Inime Aguma, the wife of the governor said bringing up children with good morals would help them become light to other people in the world.

Justice Nyesom-Wike, who presented cash and other gift items to the parents of the Christmas babies, explained that her visit was to significantly rejoice with the parents and the babies whose birth coincided with the day the entire world was celebrating  the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Rivers State first lady congratulated the parents for the safe delivery of their babies, particularly the mother of the first Christmas baby, Gift Ogunfunwa

“The significance of a visit like this is because, the birth is happening on Christmas day, and this is a Christian state like we all know, and we celebrate in fullness the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“These babies are symbol of His birth. It is a special thing to be born on the day our master, Jesus Christ was born. For the government, it is a special day”.

The Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Friday Aaron commended Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for enhancing quality healthcare service delivery at the hospital.
