All Friday Jumat services have been suspended till further notice.
The State Islamic leader and Vice President General, Nasiru Uhur, stated this after an emergency meeting with Imams of central mosques in Rivers State.
He disclosed that the decision became necessary following the crowd usually experienced at such worship places and the need to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the state.
