The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has urged citizens seeking admission into tertiary institutions across the country not to panic following the withdrawal of the list of recommended candidates for admission earlier sent to institutions.

Expressing regrets at the inconvenience caused by the decision, a statement issued by the Head of media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday in Bwari, said the list was withdrawn to enable the Senate of the respective institutions perform the statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB.

It further stated that it was also withdrawn to enable the institutions confirm the admission in line with the criteria of merit, catchment area and educationally disadvantaged states, as directed by the Minister of Education at the policy committee meeting.
