ISSJHR calls for International inquest into human rights violations of end SARS protesters

Reactions have continued to pour in, to condemn the killing of end SARS protesters across Nigeria. The international Society for Social Justice and Human Rights (ISSJHR), in a statement signed by her Chancellor, Dr Omenazu Jackson, said: ISSJHR SEEKS JUSTICE AND ADEQUATE COMPENSATION FOR VICTIMS OF STATE BRUTALITY IN NIGERIA.
The international Society for Social Justice and Human Rights (ISSJHR) has condemned in its totality the use of live bullets by Nigerian security personnel to disperse protesters thereby killing innocent unarmed citizens in the process.

We view this action as deliberate and wilful murder and call for International inquest into such human rights violation. This is total assertion of violence and it’s condemnable in its ramifications. No civilize government will order the shooting of her citizens in such manner.
The state is like an envelope containing the wishes, hope , aspirations and the internal creed of the people.

Where it fails to aggregate such collective interest , it seizes to be a state but an usurper of collective aspiration. What is left in such circumstances is to rip the envelope open and rearrange it’s content . And the powers to do so squarely reside with the people.

The right to peaceful Assembly is  granteed in our constitution. Nigeria is equally a signatory to African charter and UN charter and conventions on people rights, hence such brazen violation must be investigated and culprits punished accordingly. Never should we allow this type of barbarism to  be sustained in our country anymore. The world is watching us behave like animals in the name of governance in this twentieth century.
I have never seen a happy people protest against their leaders rather they cheer and wave them with existentialism of hope .

The protest against bad police institution and bad governance  is within the rights of every citizen. What is required is to put urgent government mechanism in place to placate the people and restore their hope  because they are entitled to their right of freedom of expression.
These  murder must be investigated by international court of justice in accordance with the Rome statue which Nigeria consented to.

No nation that what it’s salt will deploy brute force in such circumstances as seen in Nigeria against unarmed protesters. Their right to life had been maliciously breeched by state actors  in clear violation of the 1966 international convention on civil and political rights of the people and the UN  1948 declaration on human rights.
The Lekki, Abuja, Benin, Owerre,  Ogbo-Hill Aba, Enugu, Kaduna   blood bath must be investigated and culprits  prosecuted in line with international ordinance on civil protection and enforcement of civil rights. ISSJHR seeks justice and adequate compensation for all victims of state  brutality in Nigeria.
Enough is Enough.!
