A former Commissioner for Information and Communications, Ibim Semenitari, has been appointed into the State campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers Stat, Africa Update has leant.
Recall that Semenitari, an ally to the former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, had on July 10, 2022, dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, after transmitting a formal letter to the APC Chairman in Ward 5. Though she has recently spent her time doing humanitarian work, She was received back to PDP over last weekend by stakeholders from Okrika Local Government Area of the State.
Semenitari who has served as acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was received by the executive chairman of the council, Akuro Tobin, a former Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Sampson Parker, and other chieftains of the party on Saturday.
