Gunmen kill fishermen in Andoni community in Rivers State

Unknown gunmen have reportedly invaded a fishing settlement in Asarama community in Andoni Local Government Area, Rivers State, killing scores of fishermen and women.

The attack, according to multiple sources, occurred on Friday, between 5am and 12noon .

The gunmen were said to have shot sporadically at the unarmed fishermen .

At the time of this report, Africa Update could not ascertain who the attackers were or the casualty figure.
