Suspected armed robbers stormed the Delta State Government House Annex, Warri on Thursday at about 11 a.m, killing one person during the raid.
Confirming the attack, the Chief Press Secretary to the Delta Government, Mr Charles Aniagwu, stated that the hoodlums had chased a driver attached to the government house, on his way back from the bank.
According to him, “It was actually a group of armed robbers who were chasing a driver from the Government House Annex that went to the bank.
“They pursued him as he was driving back. He rammed into the Government House gates and ran out of the car.
“They started shooting at the vehicle. Unfortunately, we lost him and I heard they have apprehended three of the suspects’’, Aniagwu added.
