A non Governmental Organization, Consolidation movement Rivers State alias Consolidation family has called on the Governors of Southern Nigeria to emulate the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS AFRICA, Mr Legacy Projects, on his developmental strides and stand to liberate Rivers State from long time slavery and replicate same in their respective states
The group opined that the Governor of Rivers State has continued to ensure that Rivers’ interest comes first and that the State has remained secure largely due to the proactive measures put in place by the Project Governor despite the antics of desperate secessionists and trouble makers who are bent on causing crisis and insecurity in the State.
The Director General of the Consolidation Family, Alhaji Hassan Douglas disclosed that it is also on record that the only outspoken Governor to condemn the nepotistic and inept style of governance of the Federal Government towards the rising insecurity in Nigeria is the Governor of Rivers State.
He commended the Governor for signing the anti open grazing bill into law that will further secure Rivers Farmers as well as law abiding Herders.
He also admired the compassionate nature of Governor Wike and stated that it was on record that the Rivers State Governor was the only Governor from the South who stood up boldly to defend a fellow Governor over the assasination attempt on Govenor Samuel Ortom of Benue state,
“Today, Rivers state is the most peaceful state and a safe heaven for investors and host citizens from other states. This was recently confirmed by the acting chairman of NDDC, who applauded Governor Wike for the Peace and ease of doing business in Rivers state which ensured a hitch free completion and handover of the new NDDC Headquarters in Rivers State.”
The Group hailed the Fearless Governor and pledged her support in the fight against injustice with regards to the ongoing VAT debacle that has continued to deprive the State of scarce resources which the Governor is championing.
The Group urged other Southern Governors to join Governor Wike, the Pacesetter, in the struggle against injustice and disequilibrium as perpetrated by the Federal Inland Revenue Service in funding unproductive States from revenues from Value Added Tax, VAT.
