The Governor of Rivers state Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has praised the former Chief Of Army Staff General Kenneth Minima for the peace across the country when he was with the army , he said this during his 60th birthday over the weekend in Port Harcourt .
Governor Wike said the people of Rivers State are proud of his contribution towards nation building and his security defence of constitutional democracy during the 2015 general elections.
Governor Wike represented by the Chief of Staff Government House Emeka woke said the General handled issues with integrity compared to the 2019 general elections.
The representative of Rivers State government and chief of Staff Government House Emeka Woke said leaders should use their positions to promote the state rather than demarketing the state.
The Chief of Army staff was represented by the General Officer comm of the sixth division of Nigerian Army Major General dami shun.Â
 Governor Wike said his administration is committed to support educational advancement in the state , he said this during a donation of the building of diocese and education centre for the church of Nigeria, Anglican diocese in Ahoada .
The Governor said the donation would strengthen the church and promote the gospel in the state .
The Governor represented by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government Dr. Tammy Danagogo advised Christians to continue to pray for the peace of the state .
