Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State is set to deliver a highly anticipated address at the 6th annual Freedom Online newspaper lecture in Lagos this Thursday. The event, poised to be a pivotal discourse on Nigeria’s socio-political landscape, will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers and dignitaries.
Gabriel Akinadewo, Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Freedom Online, announced that Governor Fubara will serve as the Special Guest Speaker, offering his insights on the critical theme: “Nigeria’s Socio-Political Challenges: Whose Fault, Leaders or the Led?” This timely topic will be further explored by former Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Navy, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who will deliver the keynote address.
The event will be chaired by Chief Olabode George, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), adding further gravitas to the discussion. A constellation of prominent figures will also grace the occasion as Guests of Honour, including former Police Affairs Minister, retired Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade; Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams; and former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr. Dakuku Peterside. Professor Akin Onigbinde, Executive Secretary of the Centre for Policy and Development Studies, Ilepa, Ogun State, will attend as a Special Guest.
