FRSC extends drivers’ licence validity to 5 years

According to the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, the Federal Government has extended the validity period of Drivers’ license to five years.
He said the decision was taken in Kano during the 134th meeting of the Joint Tax Board.
He further stated that drivers have the option of paying N10,000 for the new five years licence or N6,000 for the existing three years licence noting that the production of vehicle number plates would take five working days while new applicants for any of the two drivers’ licences would have to go through driving test at an approved driving school.
