Four persons have been burnt to death in a petrol tanker fire at Fidiwo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Public Relations Officer of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said six people were in the tanker which was heading towards Ibadan .
Disclosing further that the tanker fell down and went up in flames, when the driver lost control, while on top speed, burning four occupants to death while two others escaped with injuries.
Mr. Akinbiyi stated that the victims were burnt to death, before the arrival of the fire service.
At the time of this report, the families of the deceased had claimed their corpses.
