Former President Jonathan set to host Ogbia, Epie Language Bible launch

The former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodkuck Jonathan and his wife Patience would on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22 and 23, 2020 preside over the official launching of the Ogbia and Epie New Testament Translated Language Biblies in Bayelsa State. According to a statement jointjy signed by the Chairman of Bible Society of Nigeria, Rivers/Bayelsa Area, Elder Omoni Ayo-Tamuno and the Senior Manager, Church and Public Relations BSN Headquarters, Lagos, Mr Samuel Adesoka Sanusi after the Final Meeting of the Central Planning Committee of the Launching in Yenagoa yesterday.

The statement disclosed that the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri would be the Host of the two events, the Governor’s Wife, Dr Gloria E. Diri would be the Mother of the Day for both events. while the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo would be the Guest of Honour for Ogbia and Epie New Testament Launching. It pointed out that the Ogbia Launching wound be chaired by the Chief of Staff Government House, Bayelsa State, Chief Benson Agadaga, the Obigbo Mikimiki 1 of Opuma Community, King A. J. Turner and the Chief Executive Officer of Ayalla Group of Companies, Chief Robert Enogha are Special Guests.

The Royal Father of the Ogbia event is the Obenobhan 111 of the Ogbia Kingdom, King Charles Dumaro Owaba, the Spiritual Father is a Missionary, Rev Ranmi Etai, the Guest Speaker is also a Missionary, Rev Dr Peter Oduks Dr Azibapu Eruani, the Chief Executive Officer of Azikel Group of Companies is the Chief Luncher of the Ogbia New Testament Bible Lunching which wound take place at the Ogbia Brotherhood Hall, Ogbia Town on Tuesday, September 22 at 10 ‘O Clock in the morning. And for the Epie New Testament Bible Launching, the immediate past Senator representing Bayelsa Central Seat, Senator Emmanuel Pauker will be the Chairman, while the member representing Yenagoe/Kolokuma in the National Assembly, Professor Steve Azaiki would be the Chief Luncher and would be assisted by a Member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr Oforji Oboku. The Royal Father and Co-Royal Father are King Sir G. G. Igodo JP, the Ebenibe, Atssa Kingdom and King Barr Malls Sasime, the Ebenibe Epie Kingdom and Vice Chairman, Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council

The statement pointed out that the General Overseer of the Glorified Ambassadors for Christ Assembly, Bishop Peterson Kikile is the Guest Speaker and the Spiritual Father is Rev Fr Izibeya Samuel Victor, the Parish Priest of St Mathias Catholic Church, Amarata. The Epie New Testament Bible Launching will take place at the Staint Peter’s Anglican Cathedral, Yenagoa by 10′ O Clock in the morning. Both events wound be attended by leadership of the Bible Society of Nigeria whose Life Patron is the former Head of State of Nigeria, General Dr Yakubo Gowon and people from all walks of life including Heads of Churches in Bayelsa State, as well as, Traditional Rulers and Opinion Leaders from Ogbia and Epie communities.
