The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has accused the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, of bringing a former Commissioner of Police, Mr Friday Eboka, to Rivers State to destabilize the state.
Nyesom Wike made this allegation while welcoming the new Rivers State Commissioner of Police. Nyesom Wike told the new police commissioner that the former Commissioner of the state was brought into destabilize the state but upon his arrival, he decided to have a rethink.
According to Nyesom Wike, Mr. Friday Eboka, has conscience and as such, he saw the reality on ground in Rivers State and he decided not to destabilize the state because of politics. Nyesom Wike also asserted that Rivers State is a peaceful state and Mr. Friday Eboka decided to allow the peace to reign instead of destroy the peace because of politics.
Nyesom Wike also thanked that Inspector General of police for remaining firm on his promise to ensure that the Nigerian police focuses on fighting crime instead of playing politics. (Source: Lighthouse media)
