Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar hosts USOSA delegation

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, has dropped the hint that Nigerian Unity School played a major role in shaping his future, reiterating that he remains grateful for the preparation it offered him from the early age of 11.

The Minister stated this recently, when he hosted a delegation from the Unity Schools Old Students Association – USOSA, at his office in Abuja.

Ambassador Tuggar who finished from Federal Government College Ilorin Class of 1983 warmly welcomed the delegation and assured the Association of his cooperation and partnership going forward as requested to fulfil some of the ministry’s mandate.

Earlier in his speech, leader of the delegation and President General of -USOSA, Mr Mike Magaji, congratulated the Minister on his excellent representation of the Country as Ambassador in Germany in the last administration, and his appointment as the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs in the President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Magaji requested the Minister to return the education attache concept that existed hitherto, and asked that the Ministry develops exchange programmes for unity schools and above all, called on the Hon. Minister to collaborate and partner with the Association in its Project Unite campaign which currently has the Abuja Sports Carnival coming up on April 27th 2024.

The delegation which had representative of the USOSA BOT, USOSA Executives, and the USOSA Sports Carnival Committee team leads, presented some merchandise to the Minister and also sang the Unity school’s anthem with gleeful nostalgia.
