People were seen running to safety as fire wrecked havoc yesterday evening, at the very busy Abonnema Wharf, in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area. Africa Update was unable to ascertain the cause of the fire but the flames and black smoke from the inferno suggest that a petrol tanker may have been the source of the inferno.
Abonnema Wharf is known to house a petroleum tank farm and also reportedly serve as a base for miscreants who are involved in illegal oil bunkering.
