The attention of the Rivers Youth Front has again been drawn to a rejoinder to our recent reaction titled: “DAKUKU PETERSIDE: FOLLY OF A DESPERATE FOLK” in which we responded to the recklessness and rascality exhibited in a news item by their friend, Dr. Dakuku Peterside.
It is unfortunate that the fruitless effort made by Friends of Dakuku Adol Peterside (FODAP) in that hoax ended up to further expose how bereft Dakuku Peterside and his co-travellers are in the business of governance of a State.
Before we address the unprofessional image laundering efforts of the so called friends of Dakuku Peterside, we will like to seize this opportunity to properly educate Dakuku Peterside and his so called friends that not every project is usually captured in an annual budget of government or organisation.
That there are special projects executed by governments in response to particular needs of the governed. Also, occasions may demand the drawing of extra budgetary provisions to address development needs of the people.
Come to the fruitless ratmatazze of desperate image laundering by the so called friends of Dakuku Peterside, we would like the so called friends of Dakuku Peterside to provide answers to the following questions.
(a). If Dakuku Peterside is as sound as they tend to portray and well qualified to govern Rivers State, why did the same Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who single handedly picked him to bear the governorship flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dump him in 2019?
(b). Does it imply that Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi did not see the reality in the so called blueprint the friends of Dakuku Peterside claim he had before he was handpicked for the governorship election of 2015?
Dakuku Peterside was dumped by his master, sent to handle a far lower and lesser responsibility as Director General of NIMASA. Consequently, he was still booted out of office for incompetence.
We say boldly because if Dakuku Peterside actually did exceptionally well at NIMASA, why should he be removed unceremoniously and dumped all this while?
It is obvious from the forgoing that the claims made by the so called friends of Dakuku Peterside are liars of the same family with Dakuku Peterside.
All we can tell them is that Dakuku Peterside is not as competent as they tend to sell to the public. The image laundering campaign launched by Dakuku Peterside and his cohorts can not convince either the leadership of any political party or the Rivers people to see a governorship material in Dakuku Peterside.
He has been rejected and thrown into political doldrums. And no amount of image laundering or playing to the gallery can make Dakuku Peterside acceptable to even becoming the Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro local Government area where he failed to make any single impact when he held sway as Commissioner for Works and later Director General of NIMASA.
We want to make it clear that our unalloyed support to Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is born out of the indisputable fact that he proved himself a visionary leader with the commitment to make Rivers State far better than he has met it.
It is unfortunate that Dakuku Peterside and his co-travellers who appear to be blinded by the inordinate ambition to be governor, can not see the unprecedented infrastructural revolution going on in Rivers State under the leadership of Governor Wike.
Apart from the abandoned ill conceived monorail project through which RiversState resources were wasted, we challenge Dakuku Peterside and his so called friends to mention any legacy project that was executed by his master, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
We make bold to say that Governor Wike has received genuine awards for outstanding performance in governance because of the landmark projects including the road to Dakuku Peterside’s home town, Opobo and several other projects solidly executed in virtually all sectors of the State economy. Indeed Governor Wike has done marvelously well and he deserves our commendation.
We advise the so called friends of Dakuku Peterside to look for a workable credentials that can at best market their candidate for the position of the local government Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro.
The era of hand picking through which Dakuku Peterside found his way to the Federal House of Representatives is over. And obviously Dakuku Peterside no longer has any bearing in the political scene.
As a failed politician, Dakuku Peterside should have known by now that Rivers people are too intelligent to fall to pranks of a self acclaimed voice of the people whose tongue is laced with lies.
