Organisers of the Rivers International Film Festival, RIFF, have dropped the hint that preparations are at top gear to unveil the maiden edition of the festival.
Chief Executive Officer of RIFF, Kate Ezeigbo, stated this during an exclusive chat with Africa Update over the weekend.
She said details of the festival will be disclosed during a Press Conference scheduled to hold on October 17, at Alliance Francais, 20 Herbert Macaulay Street, Amadi Flat, Port Harcourt by 12pm.
Several speakers are expected to participate at the event with the theme: Educating and empowering the next generation of film makers.
Some dignitaries expected to participate include: Brand Manager Indomie- Manish Agarwal, representative from Laluce Lines Exquisite Limited – Mrs. Light Agbogu, Chairman Nigeria Hotel Association and Rivers State Coordinator Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria – Eugene Nwauzi.
Others are: Rivers State Chairman AGN- Kenneth Chigozie Osunwa, CEO Kilali/ Veteran Actress and Costumier – Amb Millicent Jack, Director, Alliance Francais – Marina Lacal, Chairman Independent Newspaper Publishers Association of Rivers State – Hon. Gloria Boma Harry, Airtel Regional Marketing Manager, South South Region – Uche Egbuzie, Secretary NUJ Rivers State Council – Ike Wigodo, Manager Global Appliances Nigeria Limited (Binatone) Ramananda Sahro, Manager Integrated Home Concept- Kuntesh Ghia and Executive Secretary Nigeria Hotel Association Rivers State – Napoleon Godfrey Koko.
