Protesters took to the streets of Rivers State, to reemphasize the need for the urgent implementation of the resolve by the Inspector General of Police to disband the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.
Some of the protesters were seen wearing black T-shirts with the inscription “end SARS” and chanting justice for Sleek, a musician who was killed few weeks ago, by SARS operatives, in Elelenwo community in the state.
The protesters besieged the Government House, causing major traffic gridlock, as commuters and motorists were left stranded for hours.
