Some Internet Fraudsters popularly called Yahoo boys have reportedly died in a car crash after they openly mocked the Senior Pastor and Founder of Salvation Ministries Worldwide, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, following a prophetic declaration he made against their nefarious activities.
The incident according to sources occured when their vehicle ran into an electricity pole somewhere in rukpoku Community in Obio/Akpo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Prior to the car crash, Pastor Ibiyeomie had on Friday, January 28, during the 5 day prayer and fasting program tagged Glory Reign, warned youths to stop engaging in fraudulent activities under any guise. He said if they ignored his warnings and continue with their dubious activities, the vehicles they bought with such “blood money” will be involved in accidents.
He observed that their activities have led to the untimely death of their victims and as such they too, don’t deserve to live especially after causing such sorrow to their victims and families.
He said: “Yahoo boys, stop! You can’t be defrauding people every day. Stop! Listen, I am a man of God, stop!!
“You kill people every day. When you Yahoo somebody, it’s stealing. Don’t quote it anyhow, it’s stealing.
“Most people all their retirement money, you take if from them and the people die. I curse you in the name of Jesus.
“Listen, Stop! Stop! If you cannot bring a good name to Nigeria. Stop! If you’re in this church, stop!. It’s a demonic, satanic way of getting money.”
He also cautioned men of the Nigerian Police Force to stop collecting money from internet fraudsters known as ‘yahoo boys’.
He lamented how some victims of fraudsters have died due to the amount of money they lost to scam. Ibiyeomie said: “It is a demonic satanic way of getting money. What kind of nonsense money is that? You are a thief. No matter how you colourise it, you’re a thief. You love stealing. Is it your money?
“Internet fraud must stop in Nigeria. Police, all those ‘yahoo boys’, jail them arrest them. If you take bribes from ‘yahoo boy’, you policeman, that money will kill you. Do you know why?
“They stole from somebody who died and you collected the money. Then you and your family will die with it. Police, stop taking that kind of money but arrest them and jail them. It is blood money.”
“All people doing ‘yahoo’, stop giving them chieftaincy title. They are thieves. Why will you give a ‘yahoo’ person chieftaincy title? He’s a thief. Deal with them as armed robbers.”
